Getting Local Fonts to Work

Hi Guys,
So, I gave up on the cookieless domain as it was causing too many issues.
I followed this article and everything seems to be fine in terms of the setup https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-local-fonts/. However, when I choose the Montserrat from the static options, publish, refresh and check again I can see that it has defaulted back to Google fonts. Why is it overriding my decision?
Any help much appreciated.

Hi there,
Just to make sure, the customizer setting is reverting back to Google Font after savings?
If so can you try disabling all plugins except GP Premium to make sure there isn't a conflict?
