generatepress/elementor - custom menu on single post page or some other pages

Hello
I'm currently working on basically a one pager website - primary menu/navigation shows all the anchors down the page - all menu items are just custom links like "#about" - however I've a news section and the post title links to the single post page - however on that single post page the menu obviously doesn't work since the anchors are not on that current page - what is the solution to this - is there a way to remove the menu on the single post page or show a different menu on the single post page - I tried to create a single post template and used a plugin to conditionally remove the menu which kind of works - however there is still one menu item showing "Main Page" - no idea where that is coming from and how to change that - I guess it just shows the name/title of the main page.
Hope somebody can help me on these issues - I've never done something like this.
Thank you in advance for your input.

Thanks - I activated elements/disable elements and was trying to follow the video on the link you provided - however it looks different on my end - no elements at all show up - what am I missing??

hope this works: https://imgur.com/4tWPLn7;

as to creating a single post page do I just create a new page in WP or how would that work - how do I tell WP to use that newly created page as the single post page??

If you have never created Elements, there should be NO elements at all, so it's completely normal.

You just need to follow the video and create a layout element > disable the primary navigation > select Posts > all posts as location, publish it.

how do I tell WP to use that newly created page as the single post page??

I'm not sure I fully understand your question. Pageis different from post, if you add/create a new post, WP knows that's the newest post.
