    Hello,

I’m using a GeneratePress child theme.

For a few weeks this message is showing (I translated it to English):

“Your theme (GeneratePress Child) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need to be updated to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. Recommendations to solve this:

Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available, please contact the theme author and ask about compatibility with the current WooCommerce version.
If you’ve copied over a template file to make changes, you’ll need to copy the new version of the template and reapply your changes.”

Could you tell me what I should do with this message?

    Thanks 🙂

P.s. still very happy with GP!

    Hi there,

i assume at some point you will have made copies of a Woocommmerce template and added it to your child theme. If so in your Child Theme you should see a directory called: /woocommerce

Most likely reason for this is to edit the various emails that Woo generates and if thats the case you will see a sub-directory of: /woocommerce/emails

So that warning is Woocommerce informing you that it has made updates to its code and it recommends that you update any of its templates you have in your child theme.

    Thanks.

Yes, if found the /woocommerce and /woocommerce/emails.

I haven’t done this so I don’t know what happened here.

What is a safe way to update the templates? I don’t know much about it.

You will want to check with whoever created those templates and ask to update it if necessary.
