GeneratePress and ThriveArchitect Hydrogen

Hi Folks :)
I am a beginner and will do the website for myself. To be fast, I want to use the prebuild ThriveArchitekt-Site from hydrogen.
I want my header and footer to be designed with Generatepress.
The site should be with hydrogen.
Issue: The menu is not shown, when importing the site. I know, that I can use the custom-menu via thrive-themes and that works. But then, its not GeneratePress.
Any idea, what I can do (besides switching completely to Generatepress?)

if you're using the page builder to create theme templates then those will override the themes templates which means you won't be able to use the them functions.
