Generatepress and the official navigation block

Hi there,
starting a new webpage is just saw the new navigation block (block support page).
Now as i really like the premise of simply beeing able to edit the menu like any page with gutenberg i am not quite sure how to use that with generatepress.
In a video i found there was simply the possibility to edit the menu - with an "edit site" option - and its was said that "block themes" show that option. So i am asking myself if generatepress has that ;) - as it is listed in most articles i find about wordpress block themes.
Is it possible to replace the "old" way to build a menu with the block in generatepress? And if yes - how to best to so?
Hi there,
GP isn't a Block Based Theme, although it can do what block based themes do and more.
To add a Navigation Block to your site, you can use a Block element to hook it in wherever you want it:

Personal view - i would not bother, unless its a very basic menu building them in the block editor is a bit of a chore. Anything complex i still like using the WP Menu builder its far easier to re-arrange sub menus....
Of course you can use the Select menu option in the Nav block to 'import' a Classic Menu... but its only an import, if you update the classic menu in the future eg. add a new item or two, you will need to re-add it in your block.
