I’m trying to apply a background color to an email subscribe form that’s located on my sidebar. I also have other sidebar widgets that I simply want to keep white so I made my sidebar background color white. I then went to my forms background color and applied a color, but nothing happens. It seems like the sidebar background color overrides whatever I select as the form background color.

Is there any way to have a email form in my sidebar that is 1 color (e.g. blue) and the rest of my side bar background remain another color (e.g. white)?

    Thank you.

If the form color options in “Customize > Colors > Form Colors” aren’t working, it means your form has some more specific styles applied to it.

Try and get the form HTML with no styling applied – it depends where you’re getting it from, but I know MailChimp offers a “Naked form”.
