footer widget padding bug?

hi,
when setting footer widget to 1 and padding for both content and widget at the same amount, it turns out they are not aligned, because .inside-footer-widgets is not set and the widget gets .site-footer .footer-widgets-container .inner-padding of 0 0 0 40
or am I missing something? how do you align content with footer widget?

Normally people want the footer widgets to be aligned with the header and not the content.
You should be able to increase the padding here to match though:
