Footer Help

Hey there,
Can you please help me setup the footer to look like this site (excluding the download app buttons): https://lovesweatfitness.com/
Currently, I'm just using custom HTML in the footer bar on my site (https://tonedpeach.com/) as a blueprint, but how do you recommend I actually achieve the example layout?
Thanks,
Fergal
Hi Fergal,
There are multiple ways to do this.
1st is by simply adding a social icon widget and navigation menu widget to the Footer Bar on Appearance > Widgets.
The rest can be done with custom CSS.
You can do the same layout with a Block Element. GP Premium 2.0 lets you create your own footer element.
The catch is, you may have to get a block through plugins to place in Social media icons and Navigation Menu.
Hey Elvin,
Thanks for your recommendations. The first option using the footer bar in the widgets section sounds easier, but I'm not seeing a social icon widget. How do I add this?
Another consideration is ease of customization for the mobile layout. Is either option easier to adjust for both desktop and mobile layouts?
Thanks,
Fergal
Hi there,
personally i would use the Block Element and GenerateBlocks plugin - it will be much easier to style and control the mobile responsiveness.
Might want to check Leos YT video for setting up a footer that way:
Hey David, I like the block element approach and the video was very helpful. Thanks!
Glad to be of help
