Floating / sticky sidebar next to second element

I want to use elements to build my pages.
The first element has the title + an image and has a fullwith background color.
The second element has the remaining content and has an width of max 1000px. This element is centered.
Next to the second element I want to be able to show my sidebar (sticky).
If I enable the sidebar now, it limits the first element into the 1000px width and shows up next to the first element.
How can I get this done?
