Filter on top of products

I'm playing with a product filter for my shop. I'd like it to stay on top of the products.
Do you have any tips for this?
I can put it in a sidebar but it goes below the products for the resolution shrinks, can it stay on top?
Are there any way to use Elements for this? To insert a product filter on lets say all product categories?

Product filter is a widget right?
If so you can use this plugin to turn it into a shortcode:

Then you should be able to use Hooks Elements.
