Filter Button HTML

I'd like to filter the HTML output of the buttons container, but my digging hasn't been successful in turning up a hook/filter. On the one hand, it would be nice if a filter was added to the do_button_container function, but until that happens, if at all, is there some other means by which I can filter the buttons container output? Thanks.
