Hello,

Is there a method to filter a blog post by category on the front end so it will only display the posts in an archive based on category? Without using a plugin

Hi there,

without a plugin would require Custom Development.
Personally if you found a plugin that is well supported and does what you need; its the best option to go with, as you have the plugin developer to support any updates and changes.

Would you recommend a plugin? I know there is wp show by Tom but it has not had any updates for a while.

WPSP doesn't have the filter option.

This one has pretty good review so might be worth a shot?

I'm not sure unfortunately.

Tom is currently on vacation and I don't want to bug him :)

We are thinking about adding posts blocks to GB pro which would eventually replace WPSP - still lots of issues to sort out before that can happen though.

I heard that, think we all need a holiday! I spend most my time in school classroom. Looking forward to a mini holiday myself.
