Filling out a form on mobile device, zooms in the page and makes it slide

Hi, when filling out form fields on different pages on a mobile device, the page zoom in to enlarge the fields which are activated.

This causes the page to be off set and out off frame, which again causes the page content to slide around in all directions.

To get all the page content back into the frame of the screen, you have to manually decrease the page.

I have tested this on the Twenty Seventeen theme, which not cause this and with all css deactivated, same result.

So I think this must be caused by GP, how do I solve this issue?

Hi there,

Any chance you can link us to the site in question?

You can edit the original topic and use the private URL field.

Let me know :)

Hi Leo, this issue is on mobile only, so you have to test this on a mobile device. Now you have the url, you can check this in the register page.

Thanks

If this is not an option for you, can I email you screen recordings of the issue?

Hmm that is normal behavior as far as I can tell.

So what happens when you use a default twenty series theme? The page doesn't zoom in when you click on the form fields?

No it does not, the content stays inside the frame of the screen. The problem is from a users point of view, that you have to frame the page again on the screen.

Temporarily I changed the theme to Twenty nineteen, so you can se for your self

Hi again, I discovered that the issue is on iPhone (6s) only, not on Android or iPad, this is really strange.

Hi Tom, that's an interesting and very plausible explanation, I will look into that, thanks!

No problem :)
