    Hey,

I’m hosting with Cloudways and I’m using their caching plugin ‘Breeze’. It has a lot of the same features as Autoptimize.

And it seems to helps a lot with reducing requests, page size, load time and passing Google’s speed test πŸ™‚

But, using GP + Breeze seems to cause an issue on mobile with the featured image not being responsive. Maybe it’s due to some setting or error on my part, but when using the Astra theme for example this doesn’t occur. It doesn’t happen when resizing my browser window on desktop either, only on mobile.

Do you have any idea what’s causing this?

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

any particular browser or device that you see this problem?

    Hi David,

Only tested on Android personally (and it happens on all browsers I tried; firefox, cake, chrome, kiwi) but it was Google Search Console that notified me, though.

I think I found the issue though.

After disabling and testing all the options one-by-one it seems that enabling ‘CSS file grouping’ causes the problem (with GP specifically – maybe due to the Cache dynamic CSS option? I have no idea lol).

Anyway, thanks for getting back to me. I’m glad it’s fixed πŸ™‚

    Cheers!

Minimizing and grouping CSS files can sometimes effect the correct order the CSS should be in, causing all sorts of weirdness.

Thanks for reporting back and glad you found a solution.
