Featured Image is to large

Hello,
I just started this site. But on the first post I can see, that on Archive View and Homepage, the full 1024 x 576 Image is used for the Featured Image, although it displays only in 430 x 242 px size.
If I have 10 posts on home page, then that will be much too heavy.
I thought GPP can take a smaller version for a featured Image? Do I have forgotten to make a setting for this?

Perhaps you're using "Full" or "Large" as the post image size on Appearance > Customize > Layout > Blog?
Consider changing the size to medium_large or medium. https://share.getcloudapp.com/NQuo9pb2
It is set to medium_large.
The following settings are available:
full
thumbnail
medium
medium_large
large
1536 x 1536
2048 x 2048
But if I set to medium, the it ist to small for this place.
So what is wrong with this? I don´t want a 1024 x 576 Image as post image, because this gets far too heavy.
Hi there,
the medium_large is the best option, with that set you will see the Google PSI doesn't complain about resizing images, as on its simulated Moto 4G mobile devices has a screen size of 360px and is 2x/x3 HD resolution. So it will want to load an image of around 720px.
