featured image formatting

Hello.
When I upload a featured image to the page it does not appear in the style of the rest of my blog posts. i.e it does not indent into the header like the rest do.
I am unable to work out why. the css style appears to work without an image but as soon as you add the image it defaults. Specifically on "pages". Blog posts appear to be fine.
Please advise.

Hi there,
go to Customizer > Layout > Blog - in the Featured Images Section, select Pages and set the Location to below title ( or whatever is set in the Posts ).
