Hi,

The sidebars on my website are set to Content/Sidebar. The should all look like this: marcsiepman.nl/plaats/adorp/.

But this page is messed up: marcsiepman.nl/plaats/ubbergen/.

I’ve read that GP adds a fallback widget if none is set, so I set an html widget containing . The fallback widget (a search box) disappeared, but the page layout is still messed up.

1. I don’t see why two pages with the same CPT should look different.
2. I don’t see why adding a fallback widget without consent can be be feature and not a bug.

Hope you can help!

Marc

Hi there,

the broken post currently has both sidebars enabled and set to left. Can you check the Layout Meta box on that post to see if the Sidebars are different to default?

The auto add of widgets is fairly standard for a WP theme, we have only ever had a few questions as to whether they should he auto added or not. The general consensus was that if nothing was displayed would create greater confusion.

Hi,

You were right, I thought the setting were site wide but they were indeed changed.

I understand it can be confusing now.

Thanks a lot,

Marc
