[Support request] exerpt in blog overview layout doesn't work

Customize>Layout>Blog
In several test installations (in xampp) this same thing happens:
The blog overview does not show any text even if I have chosen “exerpt”
“Full content” works fine.

Hi there,

have you tried disabling plugins to see if any are conflicting?

Also do you have any custom functions added to the site?

Hi,
I found no conflicting plugins. However, it works with new posts. Something has happened with the old ones that I can’t change. Have to recreate them. Perhaps because of a plugin I have tested, perhaps it was Yoast.

There is that possibility that an older plugin stripped the excerpt. I hope you don’t have too many to recreate.
