excerpt missing after posts imported

Hi,
I have a problem with post excerpts not displaying. I have imported the posts from this site https://www.motion-health.com.au/blog into this site https://www.motion-health.com.au (The main site wasn't originally wordpress, I have taken over the site and plan to import all the posts and then delete the separate blog site).
The posts imported just fine, but there are no excerpts displaying, unless I make NEW posts - which I really want to avoid doing. I am using generatepress and elementor. I have tried both WP show posts plugin + the elementor posts widget and get the same result with both.
So, what's the deal? Thanks in advance!
Hi there,
It doesn't look like that site is using GP?
Not sure why excerpts wouldn't be working - something could have corrupted in the import process maybe?
Thanks Tom. It must be an import issue. The destination site is definitely using GeneratePress (it's the only theme I use these days) https://www.motion-health.com.au/
It's a bummer because it means I will need to manually bring the posts across.
Hi there,
the link you provided is not GP. The style sheet says Baskerville. Please confirm the link so we can take another look.
Hi David. This site https://www.motion-health.com.au/ is definitely Generatepress.
This site https://www.motion-health.com.au/blog/ is baskerville.
I am trying to import the posts from the /blog site into the main site. The site has the blog as a separate installation - which I am trying to change by importing the posts from the /blog site and putting them in the main site https://www.motion-health.com.au/
My problem is that the excerpts aren't displaying in the imported posts. I think somehthing is going wrong with the export/import
Any help would be much appreciated!
I'm confused.
So can you guide us to GP's Blog page so we can see the issues?
Let us know :)
Sorry guys. I know it's confusing. here is my test blog page which shows the posts (without excerpts) and some test posts (with excerpts)
Those are created with Elementor so the customizer options won't be able to control them.
