On one website I got an error on every upgrade of the GP Premium plugin. Uninstalling and installing the plugin and everything is ok. But on the next upgrade I got the same problems again.
In WordPress it says: Download failed. Unauthorized.
In the error log of the webserver it says:
[Thu Mar 14 18:38:02.104233 2019] [lsapi:notice] [pid 3309046:tid 140648155141888] [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:13324] [host http://www.xxx.nl] Backend log: PHP Warning: Onverwachte fout. Er kan iets mis zijn met WordPress.org of de configuratie van deze server. Als de problemen aanhouden, zoek dan hulp in het ondersteuningsforum. (WordPress kon geen beveiligde verbinding maken met WordPress.org. I am using GP Premium 1.7.7 and I want to upgrade to version 1.7.8.

Anyone a idea what is going wrong?

Ohhh. In the right column of the forum I see “Updating errors”. There it says:

    Getting an unauthorized message
When you activate your license, the URL you’re activating it from is authorized on our end.

If that URL changes at any time, you need to re-authorize your license key or you’ll received an “unauthorized” error when trying to update.

To re-authorize your license key, go to Appearance > GeneratePress and click the Save button under your license key field.

I followed the suggestions and my problem is now solved!
