Orlando
I have a custom header for posts, and noticed that every post generates a structured data error in Google Search Console; both “entry-title” and “updated” are missing. I’ve noticed that on previous reports you ran the pages through Google’s Structured Data Testing Tool, and yes, after testing you’ll see zero errors, but open the “hatom” element on the right side and you’ll see that both atributes are missing.
Any ideas how to fix this?

StaffCustomer SupportHi Orlando,
hatom microdata is currently absent from Page Headers, i believe Tom is looking to include this in a future update.

David

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperThe best thing to do right now is use JSON-LD: https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-structuring-markup/
That will fix any issues until we add the necessary structured data to the Page Header.

That plugin works, but it doesn’t fix the issue. Just tested it. Any timeframe for the update to Page Header?

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperAh, well the header element isn’t inside the content area, which is likely why it’s not showing up within the hatom element.
However, I wonder if it matters, as the page itself is telling Google the important info (entry title, date published/modified etc..). Perhaps you have some insight into this?

Hi Tom
So happy when hearing that you’re working on this issue
I wonder how can we know if you update this in the next versions or not? Cause I use custom page header in many of my pages/posts so I feel uncomfortable when seeing these errors on my Google Webmaster tool (although I know that these errors won’t affect SEO)
Thank you

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperThere’s no reason to worry – the warnings won’t affect anything at all. Using the JSON-LD plugin above is a great solution for now until we get this sorted π
