Entry meta + avatar

Hey guys, i need some help to style the avatar and the entry meta.
Is is possible to create this positioning:
Picture > written by > name > last updated on: date
Also is there a way for the text to appear in the middle (vertical) of the avatar and the avatar to be hidden in archives.
