Kev
I host with Cloudways and I’m currently working in a redesign via my staging site, however, all of the elements are blank for some reason.
I assume it’s something to do with the staging site, possibly the fact that it uses a different domain maybe?
What I’ve tried:
– Cleared cache
– Removed CDN config
– Re-activated the GP license on the staging site
– Multiple browsers (Safari & Firefox)The elements display fine on the front end of the staging site, but they’re completely blank in the editor.
Any idea what’s going on here? I’ve searched the forums, but can’t find anyone else having the same problem.
Thanks,
Kev

Forgot to add the HTTP auth access details for the site – see private info.
I’ve tried removing HTTP auth and the problem persists.

Hi Kev,
A plugin may be causing this issue: https://share.getcloudapp.com/jkuv61Zr
Can you try #1 here?: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/debugging-tips/
Kindly let us know how it goes. Hope to hear from you soon. 🙂

Why would that be the case when an exact clone of the site is working fine in production?

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
if I edit the element and switch to the code editor I can see the code for the blocks, so something is breaking the visual editor and its not only affecting elements, if I edit the home page I see the same issue.
What Fernando suggests is the first point of debugging, if you can temporarily disable all other plugins to see if one is conflict. Why would a conflict occur on a staging site is hard to say, but as the site has Cache and Security plugins enabled they could have caused a problem when the site was pushed to staging.

Disabled everything (except for GP plugins) but they’re still blank.

StaffCustomer SupportCan you leave the plugins deactivated so I can take a closer look ?

Done. It’s a staging site and I haven’t done any work on the new theme yet really. You account is admin, so feel free to make changes if you want to change things to test.

StaffCustomer SupportI temporarily disabled ( re-enabled it now ) the Child theme, and then the editor worked correctly. Can you check that too ?
