hello, I tried to create an element for a specific CPT taxonomy archive page but it seems there’s only one display rule “All Archives” is working for this. How to prevent it from displaying in other archives such as post & other cpts?

    Thanks

    Hi there,

in the Display List you will see Post Archives. Like wise there should be one for your custom post type Archives

Hi David, thanks for your reply,

I can only see Post Archive, Post Category and Post Tag under Post Archives. Can you advise why?

    Thanks

It won’t be listed under Post – it will be under the name of your CPT.

For example – i create a CPT called Ideas.
In display rules i will have:

    Ideas Archive etc.

it’s really weird to be honest i don’t see any of my CPT archives in Display Rules.

Is there any issues related to the plugin Custom Post Type UI i used to create the taxonomies?

    Yes

    CPT
    CPT Tag
CPT Taxonomies all listed, but there is no CPT Archives

Are you using a Custom taxonomy as well or just the regular tax?
If the latter then check Post Category Archive and see if any of your CPT categories are displayed.

I use custom post type UI plugin to create custom taxonomy for this CPT

    There’s no CPT Archive selection

I am not a CPT UI user – but i believe it has the option to create the archive ( has_archive or something ) – this would need to be in place for the archive to be displayed and for it to appear in the Elements display rules.
