Duplicate header and navigation on home page

Hi i'm in the process of building a new site using generatepress and elementor and it's being going fine until i built a blog post layout. I've created an element in generatepress to remove all the page info and full width etc for blog posts and in elemetor ive set the display conditions to only apply it to posts in certain categories, however for some reason the template also gets applied tot he home page. all the other pages are fine and the posts all get displayed with the correct template, it's just the home page that's causing the issue.
thanks
Hi there,
Can you try adding the Front Page in the Display Rule of that element?
Let me know :)
Hi, yes ive tried adding the exclude rule to the element template i've setup in generate press and also to the layout ive created in elemenmtor to exclude the home page, but it still appears on the home page.
Not quite sure if I understand.
Sounds like you want to hide the header and navigation for the entire site?
What was the element you created?
For some reason the home page shows 2 headers (logo and menu navigation)

It should only show one eg.

The home page also seems to show the blog template where it shouldn't. I tried elementor's hello theme and it shows the home page correctly (though without the styles i've setup in generatepress)
Have you fixed the double header? I no longer see it.

Not quite sure what you mean about the blog template. I am actually not seeing any GP element showing on your pages.
If this was a separate question from the double header, please open a new topic so it's easier to for us to track.
Thanks!
