So I aim to achieve similar effect to this:

totally transparent when it drops down

Hi there,

the Option drop down styling is controlled by the browser – it would require custom development using JS to change them, not easy as there are lots browser fallbacks to be considered. You may want to check with FacetWP if they have any ‘theme’ styles for it.
