the last 2 WP updates have caused site to display 2 menus
doesn't seem to affect mobile display
tried to find a conflicting plugin, but doesn't seem to change anything
problem goes away when I change themes...but of course creates others
If I go back 2 versions...site displays fine.

can you flush and disable the Siteground otpimizer and let me know if the issue goes away.
Seeing quite a lot of problems with that plugin regarding re-ordering of CSS, you may want to discard it in favour of the optimization tips we provide:
Thank you...will try later. Disappointing, as I enjoy several features of SG Optimizer
The other option is to look at disabling minimizing CSS Styles in the plugins settings. Generally does the trick but does of course reduce the optimization.
