Hello,
Using the “marketer” site library.What is the correct way to display recent posts and also category posts on the homepage?
Looks like the WP Show Posts plugin is the way to do this?
Basically I want to display 4 recent posts and then below that display 2 posts each from 3 popular categories.

Hey John,
Yes – WP Show Posts is the best way to do this. You would create a static page, and then multiple lists inside WPSP to add to the static page.

Any way to not have the featured image displayed? Just created a static page but would like to hide the featured image.
