Display Featured Video in Category page

Hello, Some of my posts are vimeo videos, on my previous simple video blog I used the Featured Video Plus plugin to display featured videos instead of featured images on my blog. On my Generate Press site I'd like to have a category page with the video posts displayed ready to play. But I can't get it to display the video image. Images do display in other non-video categories.

Have you checked with the plugin support to see how to make it work on a category page?
There isn't anything in GP that would stop it from working.
There is not much documentation for this plugin and nothing that addresses this issue. I have made sure that the media settings are set the same as they are in the site that works. The option to replace featured image is set for the post index page. I've disabled Gutenberg on the staging site. The only other difference is the theme. The plugin works fine on the site with Wisteria theme but not GP.
Hmm that's weird. GP doesn't build the archive page. It's all automatic from WordPress.
So to test, can you activate the twenty-seventeen theme and see if it works out of the box?

Just to add... it seems that Featured Video Plus plugin has not been updated for two years! So maybe this is a plugin bug.

That should tell us whether it's a plugin problem or GP problem.

OK its working! And it works by removing plugin, embedding vimeo and setting post type to video. Simplicity.
