display featured image on hovering over blog post title

I would like to set up my blog page so that the entires are listed in a list format, and when the user hovers over a post title, the featured image appears on the right side like this (
Currently, I have used the Advanced Random Posts plugin to add a widget entry in the right hand columns that shows a small thumbnail of the post featured image to the left of the title. However, I only want the image to appear when the title is hovered over. This sidebar widget is only used to demonstrate something close to what I am aiming to achieve - this widget will be deleted.
Can you tell me how to achieve (if possible) using GeneratePress and GP Premium?
Thanks
The type of entry I'm looking for on the above site example is under the menu item "Journal" and dropdown type is "minimal."
Hi there,
We would like to think anything is possible with GP but this type of special layout will require tons of custom coding and potentially rewriting the entire template unfortunately.
If you are set on that layout then the best solution might be to just go with that theme.
Otherwise you would need to find a developer to code a custom solution for you using GP.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
Thanks for looking at this Leo.
The reason I asked is that I was searching the support forum, and it looked like Tom had given some ideas on a similar topic - Displaying the post title on hovering over the featured image. If I recall, he created a hook and then added some CSS.
Maybe what I am trying to do is more difficult.
Thanks again.
I think it was post #196632.

Yeah that is something quite different than what you are asking.
What you are trying to do is quite difficult unfortunately.
OK, thanks for looking at it.

No problem :)
