Pat
I received notification that there was a post submitted on my discussion board but after I approved it, I wasn’t able to see it on the front end. I was able to read the post and even offer a response on the back end but I can only see my original post on the front end. Does that make sense? I’m baffled by it! I hope you can help.
Thanks

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Are you referring to the default WordPress comments system?
If so is there a specific post I should be looking at?

If you go on my website, It’s the section on the bottom of the page where it says: Let’s Connect. If you click on that, you will see my comment but not the person whose comment I approved.
I created this so long ago, I can’t really remember if it was part of my theme or something else. Can you tell?
Thanks

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperIt looks like it’s just a regular page with comments enabled.
I’m seeing a comment from you, but it doesn’t seem to be a reply to anyone?
The original link I clicked on looks like it was meant to go to a bbPress forum, but then I was redirected. Are you sure the comment is connected to this “Let’s Connect” page?

On the back end, on the left panel, there is a section called ‘comments’.right under the section called ‘pages’. That’s were I can see the new post.
I haven’t used bbPress in quite awhile.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperDoes the comment tell you which page it’s attributed to? If so, if you click on that page, does the comment show up?

I tried to paste a screen shot but it doesn’t look like I can upload it here.
When I look at the comment in the back end, it says ‘view page’ – when I click on that, it takes me back to the ‘let’s connect’ page with just my original post.April 2, 2019 at 7:59 am #857044Tom
Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHmm, seems something is confusing WordPress.
Any caching plugins or server caching? Any redirects? What happens if you disable all of those?

I have no idea what I did – but I played around with the plugins and voila! I can now see the post by the new person. Thanks.
