Ian
If I disable or enable elements when I’m editing a page it does not seem to have any affect as the header element was appearing. The only way to stop it was to go into appearance > elements and apply a rule for that page.
My question is, can I enable and disable elements when I edit the page? If so, I’m not sure what I a doing wrong?

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Header Elements can only be disabled within the Elements display rules. There isn’t a disable element for them on the page. All other Disable Elements will override what you set in a Layout Element.

Hi David,
I’m a bit confused. When I’m in the page editor, in the sidebar there is the layout section and in the layout section there is disable elements.
I used to be able to use this to disable elements for each page. Is this no longer working?

StaffCustomer SupportThe disable element metabox in the edit page screen should still work.
Can you guide me to a page where it’s not working?

Sure Leo,

I’ve disabled all the elements from the page editor but the header is still showing.

StaffCustomer SupportThat’s the page hero so try to exclude it in the display rules as David suggested above.

If I use the layout tool in elements can I exclude all the sub pages of a parent page by just making a rule for that parent page?

Ok

Actually this is not resolved. I’m trying to create a template in beaver builder and the header keeps appearing even though I have excluded it from appearance > elements > and removed from inner page header and blog header singles.

Well, it looks like it might be resolved. Not sure, I’ve had enough today. I’ll have another look tomorrow and see if this is resolved.
