Different layout settings per device

I noticed in the Customizer that you can preview settings on different devices (desktop, tablet, mobile), but that the settings will apply to all three.
I use Thrive Architect, and in this type of situation when you preview a different device, you can make settings for that level, with changes cascading down (but not back up). It works well.
Is there any similar functionality in GeneratePress? If not, what is the best workaround? Also, any thoughts about adding this kind of functionality?

their are number of responsive functions within the Theme. These are mainly the layout such as sidebar positions or setting a different navigation or header for mobile. Some settings such as Content padding or H1 and H2 headings have mobile specific settings. You will notice a small mobile icon beside those setting fields to change.
Outside of this the theme relies on the mobile style sheets which does 90% of what most peoples requirements are. Is there anything in particular you see as a requirement or having trouble achieveing?
