Define the width of top bar widget area

How can I expand the width of the top widget area? Ideally, I would like to place 2 elements side-by-side: an image or line of text, and a signup form. Is this possible?
I am using Thrive Leads and have a signup form showing using a shortcode, but the button is being truncated. I am assuming the widget area is not wide enough for my form?
