Customizing Premium Starter Site Prior to Activating

I downloaded Generate Press, and Purchased the Premium plugin. Both are on my Woo Dashboard, and neither is activated, because I do not want to be building the next site structure with activated live status. When I open Generate Press in Appearance > Themes > Customize, the basic Generate Press theme is there, with what is in my activated theme placed in Generate Press.
What I want to do is to be able to open the Niche Starter Site in customize, so I can build it out prior to activation. I am new to all of this, and need to "buy a vowel" as they say on Wheel of Fortune.
Thank you in advance for whoever can tell a neophyte where to go in order to do this.

If I understand the question correctly, there are two options here:
- Do this in a staging environment then push the site live to your actual URL once you are ready. Many hosting services offer staging services for free so you can check with your hosting support.
- You can use a maintenance mode plugin so users won't see the in-progress site.
