Customizing Menu Animation

Hello

I have social icons (along with other menu items) in the Primary Navigation and I intend to use the menu hover animation that you guys have provided here:

The problem is, when I use the above, the hover animation also appears for the social icons too - which I do not want to happen. How to exclude the social icons (font awesome) from having the menu hover animation?

Note: Site URL included. Also, the CSS for menu hover is removed from the site due to the above-mentioned issue.
