I am working with a brand new, fresh install of GeneratePress and the Flint Skin Bold theme.

I have been trying to change my site header and navigation colors from white to anything. It won’t take. I’ve looked in inspector and it appears some .page-hero styles in <style id=’generate-style-inline-css’ type=’text/css’> are overriding my changes (on line 40 of the HTML).

I cannot figure out how to fix this and I’ve tried every color option I can think of — where do I change this section that’s overriding my selections?

    Hi there,

Bold uses a Header Element to merge the site header with the content:

    https://docs.generatepress.com/article/header-element-overview/

Go to Appearance > Elements and edit the Header Element, on the Site Header tab is where the merged headers navigation colors are defined.

    THANK YOU

That solved it — Since it was setup automatically I didn’t know it was even there. Thanks!

Awesome – glad to be of help and great to see Bold being repurposed.
If you go to the Site Library:
    https://generatepress.com/site-library/

And Preview Bold – then go to the Start Here page it provides a breakdown of how the rest of the site was built.
