Customizer issue

Since updating to latest Wordpress version I can no longer access the single blog post layout options in the Customiser. I can open up the options screen for the 'Archive' page but when I try a click the 'Single' button it just reloads the page and flips back to the first customiser screen.
Anyone else seeing this behaviour. It's happening on all the sites I've updated Wordpress on.

not experienced that issue on any sites. Things to check for:
1. PHP version of 7.3 and check memory limit.
2. Plugin conflict by disabling other plugins one by one.
3. Rebuild permalinks.

Thanks David, narrowed it down to 'Page Links To' plugin. disabling this plugin and customiser behaviour returns to normal. Not a biggie to work around, just annoying.
