I have my homepage and newspage for which I use the features with customizer.
Now I want to create blogpages with each there own header.
For example, when I place an image in the header of one my blogpages with customizer, it also appears on my home and newspage. How can I make individual pages with customizer without effecting the other pages?January 13, 2020 at 5:56 pm #1131152LeoStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
I believe the header element is what you are looking for:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/header-element-overview/The merge option allows you to create the same appearance as using the header background image:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/header-element-overview/#merge-with-contentSee some examples here:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-hero-examples/And step by step guide:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/how-to-create-a-page-hero/Let me know if this helps π
January 14, 2020 at 5:38 am #1131582BramHi Leo,
Thanks for your quick and helpfull reaction.
Only I am not sure if it answers my main question, namely:
What setting do I have to use, to use customizer functions for each individual page, without effecting the other pages?
Example: image in the header of a blogpage, does not appear on the homepage, also with text hover colors.
Thanks on forehand,
BramJanuary 14, 2020 at 9:16 am #1132032BramHi Leo,
In addition to my last message:
The answers on my question (sorry I’m kind of a studious amateur)are step by step given in your video Page Hero. Thanks for that.
There is one thing that I do not recognise and that is the Page Header(old) section in my GP premium version 1.9.1.
I do not see anywhere how to switch from Elements to Page Header(old), nor do I see on top of elements the button ‘Legacy Page Headers’.
So, how do I transform the current page headers into Elements?Kind regards

Customizer options are global so it will effect every page which is why page hero is needed in this case.
As for moving legacy page headers to header elements, this should help:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/moving-hooks-page-headers-to-elements/January 15, 2020 at 1:01 pm #1133410BramYour last comment:
That case maybe you aren’t using the old page header?
Can you link me to the page where you think the page header is used?
Please try to reply to the support topic if you can so we can keep everything in one place.
Thanks.

Support SpecialistI do not know if am using the old page header.
After installing GeneratePress I never saw the Page Header module in the dashboard.
Should Page Header automaticly appear in the dashboard after installing GeneratePress? Or is it an extra installation?
After installing GP premium in Elemente there was no button legacy Page Headers.
So my question still is, what went wrong? Website is existing of 3 pages: Startpagina(frontpage) Berichten (blogs) and Recente berichten(blogs/articles) http://rickmoeliker.nl/May be it is better to reset my database and start the installation of this website again, by using Elements en Hooks from the start.
Kind regards,

No – page header module would not show up if this is a recent install as it’s been replaced with Elements module.
You would only see the page header module if you have used it previously.
I just checked the two existing pages in your site and they don’t have the page header at all so you should be good to proceed with the new header element π
Let me know if this makes sense π
January 16, 2020 at 9:55 am #1134326BramHi Leo,
Still problems.First:
– I did a database reset to start all over again.
1) I did activate Generate Press as theme, IN MY DASHBOARD NO MODULE PAGE HEADER(not part of GeneratePress? and why is it not appearing?)
2) Installing GP premium 1.9.1
3) Made up two pages, Frontpage and Blogpage.
4) Start opening Elements with a new element, in this case my frontpage
Followed precisely the video for instruction ; Page hero, Site Header and display rules
5) Set an image and color for the header in Elements
6) Site check => Nothing changed. No Change of colors nor uploaded image.
7) Set options for Site Header and Display rules => Yes, response Side Header works.
8) PAGE HERO STILL DOES NOT WORK!
9) Is there a step by step video/manual GP Elements available ?
10) How can I get text/title in the center of my header?
11) Is there a posible direct contact by phone or skype, by using for example teamvieuwer?
12) If you need screenshots I can mail them to you.Sorry for the bunch of questions, but I hope you still have the answers for me.
Kind regards,

You would only see the page header module if you have used it previously.
In this case, I don’t believe you’ve used page header before so you won’t see it at all.
Thre is a step by step guide here:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/how-to-create-a-page-hero/I would recommend going through the entire article as all of your questions are explained in there.
If this still doesn’t work, can you create a header element and duplicate exactly this example:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-hero-examples/#example-1Then set the display rules to Front page?
Let me know π
January 20, 2020 at 4:31 am #1137726BramThank you Leo!!, it works now. Matter of display rules and of course your quidance!!
