Jeremy
Hello,
Even though I have a Premium subscription, I am interested in how to create a custom footer without Premium?
Thanks in advance for any guidance.

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Not quite sure what you are trying to achieve but I believe something like Hooks Elements should help:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/hooks-element-overview/There are several hooks available in the footer:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/hooks-visual-guide/Let me know if this helps 🙂

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperTo build that without premium, you’d need to use the footer widgets and CSS to move them around to fit the layout. You’d likely need some CSS with premium as well.
Let us know if you want to try – we’d be happy to help.

Thanks, Tom. Yes, I’d be grateful to know how to do this with css. I’m actually working on a site that I’m relying heavily on css styling, so it would ideal.
Thanks in advance.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperSounds good. Will it include the “Licensed in New York + California” text above the footer widgets? Or are we only doing the two columns below that?

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperOk, so can you add the four widget areas to your current footer widget? Then add the content into each one. It won’t look like that at all, yet, as it will need CSS to position everything.
Once you have the content added, link me to your site and I’ll write it up for you 🙂

Sorry, I am not sure I understand. Add four widgets to the current footer widget? Under Appearance>Widgets I have 5 Footer Widgets and a Footer Bar.

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
in Customizer > Layout > Footer you can select the number of Footer Widgets to display to 4.
Then:
Widget 1: HTML Widget for “Licensed in New York + California”
Widget 2: Logo / image
Widget 3: Menu Widget and HTML widget for address
Widget 4: HMTL Widget for Disclaimer and HTML widget for Copyright Info.Documentation: http://docs.generatepress.com/

StaffCustomer SupportActually, could you place all Widgets in Widget 1 in the order:
“licensed in”
“logo”
“menu”
“address”
“disclaimer”And set the Layout to 1 widget
Will be easier to create that layoutDocumentation: http://docs.generatepress.com/
