Custom CSS of Child Theme Not Working Correctly

Hi Team,

On the example URL provided (and across the entire website) there is an issue with the styling since I last updated GP. For the product review sections, the custom CSS from my child theme is not working correctly.

Here is how it looks - http://take.ms/vCquz

Here is how it should/did look - http://take.ms/TlLcV

It seems as though the div classes are in the HTML, but the actual styling is not there. I am wondering if it's to do with the order in which the stylesheets are loaded or something else?

I have several websites some of which use GP Pro and I have narrowed my issue down to only sites using GP...all others on different WordPress themes are not affected by this issue.

Thanks for your help in advance,
Lewis

Hi there,

If you run your URL through this service, you'll see there's a parse error in your child theme CSS: https://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/

Fixing that error might fix the issue.

Let me know :)

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the swift reply and the resource. I've fixed those CSS issues, flushed cache from site and cloudflare and the issue still persists.

Here is a side-by-side comparison for a working and non-working site - https://monosnap.com/file/S7jM7Me0GceBALWALGtuv74x0ep3eH

It seems like the custom CSS just isn't there...but the stylesheet is in the page source code.

Thanks,
Lewis

Hi there,

check the media queries you have set around the CSS, if i remove them the code kicks in.

Hi David,

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I think I've managed to figure it out.

Much appreciated...! Have a great day.
Lewis

Glad we could be of help
