Creating a custom page from sections

Hi,
Can you turn a page created with Sections into a template for a page (or a blog post would be fine).
I need to import 220 posts from another website and would love to find a way to import them (as either pages or posts) but have the post content added to a template page that I've already created.

That's not possible unfortunately.
Perhaps creating a content template for single posts would be what you are looking for?

Recreating the sections as block elements would be fine.
But if I import blog posts from another WP site can I set that it uses the single post template as default?

One quick question, using the block editor, how do I get a background colour to stretch to the edge of the screen.
It seems to only stretch to cover the background of the inner block.
