Create A New Widget Area

Hi Tom,

I need help in registering a new widget area

I want to register a new widget area in my child theme that I can use to display contents and special menus that I create in the "Before Content" position.

I know I can use the hook are.... but having a widget area will make it much easier with the contents i want to add

Please advice on the right coding to use
