Hello, I am a real newbie, and I am having trouble with the Blog. I have used the Theme's Front Page (Home page) pretty much as-is showing the Recent Blog Posts that came with the theme. I have created a new Page Hero Element for the static Blog page, but I do not understand how to configure the rest of that page to show those same same blog posts that came with the theme. The site is unpublished currently on SiteGround. How should we proceed? What info do you need to get in to see and troubleshoot?- Judith

Hi Judith,

I have created a new Page Hero Element for the static Blog page

What do you mean the static blog page? There's no static blog page comes with Vinyasa. Are you talking about the front page?

but I do not understand how to configure the rest of that page to show those same same blog posts that came with the theme.

I'm not sure what this means, can you explain more about what you are trying to achieve? And it will be easier if we can see the site.

You can use the private info field to enter the WordPress login, it will only been seen by the support team :)

Let me know!

Perhaps 'static' is the wrong word, but Vinyasa has both a front page and a blog page, and then each Post seems to have a page of it's own? I also do not understand how to set up the two blocks in the right column of the Blog page (index of blog post titles and categories or tags)? My info is in the private section below. See what you can make of it. Thanks - Judith

Vinyasa has both a front page

Yes, that's a static page. You can find it at dashboard > pages.

a blog page

That's the default WordPress blog page, it's an index page, it generates the post list of all your posts. You can find it at dashboard > pages, but that page is just an empty page, you can't really edit it. It's there just to offer the URL for blog page, as your homepage URL has been taken by the static front page.

, and then each Post seems to have a page of it’s own?

Yes, that's called a single post. :) It's where you edit your post content. You can find them at appearance > posts.

I also do not understand how to set up the two blocks in the right column of the Blog page (index of blog post titles and categories or tags)

Do you mean this sidebar?

If so, you can add widget to the right sidebar area at appearance > widgets.

I will have a chance to look at this tomorrow. Regarding the sidebar, that is exactly what I meant, so I'll look at that also tomorrow. Thank you for your prompt response. - Judith

You are welcome Judith :)
