Hola buenos días,
He intentado crear un botón en la barra superior de mi página http://mdhcentros.es/ pero me ha sido imposible.

There are multiple ways of doing this.
The simplest way is by adding an HTML widget on the Appearance > Widgets Top Bar area.
The alternative is by completely disabling the top bar and adding your own custom top bar layout with a Block Element (Appearance > Elements) and hook it on before_header.
