Hi people . . .
Can you offer me a stable column solution to use in Sections??
I do not use templates to create WP Sites. I have a good understanding of HTML and CSS
I have 4 clients that I have created WP sites for and am ALWAYS stumped when it comes to creating columns (text and images together in the column) that does not loose format when they are viewed on a mobile device, or a desktop/tablet under a certain browser width.
I know the problem is me, i was just wondering if you have a suggestion/recommendation that will make it easier/more reliable to do this
I included a link to the latest site i am working on. an thoughts you have will be greatly appreciated.
GeneratePress is a great product and i think you have all done a wonderful job. I always recommend your "tool" to others
Hi there,
Columns aren't easy in GeneratePress.
There are a couple plugins:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/lightweight-grid-columns/
https://wordpress.org/plugins/gridable/
Or, you could try using Gutenberg, which has a Columns block. However, you would lose the Sections functionality (at least until we release our Sections block).
Gutenberg seems to be getting a lot of bad reviews. I am holding off on that for a bit.
Would you use
the missing words was < div > s?? the editor thought it was a tag . . . ha ha
You could definitely add your own HTML markup to Sections along with your own CSS.
Gutenberg is coming to WordPress in a couple weeks, so it might be worth getting to know.
