Classic Editor & Elements issue
6 replies · Started by Rui on December 6, 2018
Hi friends!
I seems I found an issue between the Classic Editor (https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/) and GP.
I installed the plugin (I'm using WordPress 5.0) and after that I could no longer edit what I typed in Elements (posts and pages are ok). But just disabling the plugin and everything returns to normal.
Could it be another reason?
There seems to be a bug with the Classic Editor plugin and custom post types:

Does it happen when you try to open a media library item as well?
If so, go to "Settings > Writing" and change the "Allow users to switch editors" to "no".
Hi Tom.
I can open a media library item.
But, indeed, if I change the “Allow users to switch editors” to “no” everything returns as before. Before "WordPress 5.0" - I would say - since I have no access to the new visual editor anymore!
But for now it´s Ok... I'm used with TinyMCE (that seems to have no function with this new WP version!).
Thanks!
Switching that option shouldn't take aware the old TinyMCE editor.

Classic Editor 1.1 was just released which should fix this :)
Yes, Tom! This new version ends the problem.
Everything works fine now. Thank you!
Great to hear! :)
