    Hello
I install the official generatepress child theme. The problem is when you install the child theme and change the author, the version and the name of the template in the css file of the child theme. The message appears in the back office. But when you change anything, it works ! A bit annoying in fact ! Something to do for changing that ?

    GeneratePress 2.2.2
    GP Premium 1.7.8

    Hi Eric,

you should not change the name of the template. The template defines the theme (name of the directory) you use as the basis of your child theme.

It should be “generatepress” if you haven’t changed the name of the GeneratePress theme directory, which you normally don’t.

Thanks Sebastian – Eric as Sebastian as said changing template names breaks the relationship with the parent theme.
