    Hi there, i have a few things to change and those are mentioned below one by one, please guide me about that.

    1. Look at the mentioned image below, in this for the 1st point in the image, i have added the social icons in the custom top bar, but those are not being shown after that top bar is published using hook. can you let me know whats causing it? Moreover, the 2nd point of the image, how can i change look and feel of the menu? i tried going inside MENUS option to change that, but could find the coloring/css stuff to modify for the menu.

    2. The 2nd point is, how can i fix/set myself the limit of number of words or the lines in these places? its the initial part of the article being shown there. Also, can i change it and set the Meta Description to show here instead of the starting text of the article? Please see the image below

    Hi Nabil,

    Look at the mentioned image below, in this for the 1st point in the image, i have added the social icons in the custom top bar, but those are not being shown after that top bar is published using hook.

    I can see that there is a caching mechanism set in your website, can you try clearing this?

    You may also try #1 to see if any plugin is causing this issue as the theme and our plugins shouldn’t be causing this.

    If this doesn’t work, can you try using GenerateBlocks Buttons block as opposed to WordPress’ Social Icons Block and see how it goes?

    Moreover, the 2nd point of the image, how can i change look and feel of the menu?

    You can change the Colors in Appearance > Customize > Colors > Primary Navigation: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/global-colors-overview/#pick-colors-for-elements

    The 2nd point is, how can i fix/set myself the limit of number of words or the lines in these places? its the initial part of the article being shown there.

    Yes, you may. The list of posts shown in the front page are generated from a plugin called WP Show Posts. Specifically, in the front page, the name of the lists are Standard, Align and Simple. You may edit the Word Count as such: https://share.getcloudapp.com/P8u1GmL5

    Reference for WP Show Posts: https://wpshowposts.com/

    Also, can i change it and set the Meta Description to show here instead of the starting text of the article?

    Are you referring to a custom excerpt of a post? You may set a custom excerpt as such: https://share.getcloudapp.com/wbuzbKRy

    Take note that this would override the excerpt word count limit set.

    Hope this clarifies. 🙂

    as you guided, i go there for navigation coloring, i was able to change that but the one i wanted to change isn’t available therE? i want to change the hover color or the bottom border, if you go to the web (cruzingspeed.com), if you hover on the menu you’ll see bottom border showing in black color, i want to change that.
    Moreover, from where i’ll make the menu text bold as well.

    2. How can i change these sizes for text/headings? especially for the headings, see the img below.

    3. And sir i added custom footer on the web, i selected this template from the available temps in the theme, i want to change the appearance for these links, their simple color and hover color, from where i’d do that?

    I see. The color there is handled through this specific code found in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS:

    .main-navigation ul li:after {
        background-color: #000;
    }

    Also see: https://share.getcloudapp.com/DOu46wLj

    Try changing #000 to a value of your preference: https://htmlcolorcodes.com/color-picker/

    2. You may control any Block’s font setting through Appearance > Customize > Typography.

    The H2 which are also the WPSP titles are controlled through this: https://share.getcloudapp.com/DOu46w7y

    You may also set a custom selector and modify and specific text Block as such: https://share.getcloudapp.com/2NuzPKLm

    Also see: https://share.getcloudapp.com/geumpJNL

    As shown, I used .wp-show-posts-entry-title for WPSP titles and .wp-show-posts-entry-summary for the excerpt.

    Reference: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/dynamic-typography-overview/

    3. You should be able to modify the colors of a Headline Block as such: https://share.getcloudapp.com/NQuN7qyb

    Also see for reference: https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/headline-overview/#colors

    Hope this clarifies. 🙂

    Are you trying to add a Copyright message? You can create one through the Copyright module. See: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/changing-the-copyright-message/#using-the-copyright-add-on

    This module allows you to add the current year through %current_year%

    Otherwise, if you would like to add it manually, Leo provides a PHP Snippet to create your own current year shortcode:

    Hope this helps! 🙂

    sir can you please take a look at it again?

    i already have set that in footer through customizer, but the footer i added is the custom one which i chose from the templates GP theme provide, please see the image below, that one which is set already isn’t showing there or may be can’t be shown because custom footer is in place.

    Now i want to add that current year besides the web name, a long process is required to do that? or i can be done easily in another way? like adding %current_year% through a block or else?

    Yes, that’s correct. Creating an Element with type site_footer would overwrite the default site footer. This is the reason why the changes you make in the Copyright found in the customizer isn’t displayed.

    For instance: https://share.getcloudapp.com/E0ugKw8D

    If you’re using a Block Element, you can generate the current year through template tag: {{current_year}} as shown in the image above.

    Hope this clarifies. 🙂
