Changing Slider from Meta to SmartSlider3 - Need help with clearing tweaks

Still Generate-Press-Obsessed after over 5 years - keep up the amazing work and support, thank you!
I'm updating a site I built in 2018, and to add more functionality to their slider I'm swapping out Metaslider for Smartslider 3.
David guided me through the process here (https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/insert-background-images-slider-effect-in-page-hero-element-without-plugin/) but there were quite a bit of tweaks to get things right. When I try to simply swap out the old Metaslider shortcode with the new slider, it doesn't show up at all and I don't know why :/. I've got the class in there just the same, what am I missing?

I would need to see the page with the Smart Slider to tell whats going on - do you have a staging server where i could see it?
Hi David, sorry for the delay - I don't have a staging server for this client, unfortunately. Can you recommend one? I think this problem may come up again in the future as I update my go-to plugins...

You can use a plugin like WP STAGING to create a staging site as well :)
Let us know when the staging site is ready :)
Thank you, I installed WP STAGING and it's awesome! And then somehow the slider swap worked perfectly there so I took it live as well. I guess I'm all set!
